Beth Juncker

Beth Juncker is professor, mag. art and dr. phil. at the University of Copenhagen teaching and researching in cultural communication/dissemination. She is an expert in cultural policy and cultural communication adressing children and young people with a special focus on the meaning of aesthetics in their every day life and in meetings with art. She is educated mag. art in Nordic literature with a ph.d. in popular culture - "Life as a  short story"! As researcher, she took part in the editing and writing Nordic research team behind the Nordic history of female literature. With an interest in the part of female writers authorship adressing children the character of her studies and the approaches changed. Why do we underestimate literature written for children? Why do we underestimate children's aesthetic competenties? The questions led to her  doctoral thesis:" About The Process. The Meaning of Aesthetics in children's life." And to a lifelong commitment to this field. 
She has written a range of articles and is stil giving key notes on meeting and conferences all over the world.
